Case Study - Wildern School | Award Nomination 2016

Fiona Mitchell and Jo Anderson, SCITT Administrator/Senior Leader of Learning ITT
Wildern School

Practice:
Through the provision of collaborative, high quality and cross phase facilitation, the Wildern Partnership SCITT aims to develop trainee teachers as lifelong learners, reflective practitioners and critical thinkers who develop and pursue an understanding of how theory underpins practice. The provision commits to supporting trainees as outstanding local teachers who are fully prepared to teach across a range of contexts and are equipped for their first steps into a successful career in teaching.

Impact:
The work with colleagues across the alliance has meant that they are now working in a wider context than just supporting partner schools and developing a successful training programme. Closing the gap and enhancing experiences for all pupils is a strong and integral focus of the programme, equipping trainees and their pupils with the skills they need to succeed.
