Gareth Lowe, Leader of Purpose/Class Teacher
Hindley Green Community Primary School
 
Practice:
Since September 2015, as a Leader of Purpose, Gareth has led Hindley Green Primary’s Sports Academy which aims to deliver high quality PE and Sport to all children. He greatly inspires children through his enthusiastic and expert delivery in an atmosphere where all children can flourish and succeed equally. The Sports Academy also provides external opportunities for pupils such as events and a platform for children to express themselves through sport and dance.
 
Impact:
The Keys Federation has had a significant increase in attendance at Sports ASC Clubs across all schools, with attendance rates having risen by 31% at St John’s Hindley and as much as 78% at Abram St John’s Sports Academy. Gareth Lowe’s contribution to the Sports Academies has created an impressive buzz for sport and dance within the Keys Federation schools. The team has established a fundamental Skills Club in all schools, which enables the all schools to support a higher proportion of SEND/Low Ability children to succeed.
