Case Study - Westlands School | Award Nomination 2016

Alison Kilbury, Art/Photography Teacher
Westlands School

Practice:
Alison designed the digital CPD for the whole school. This involved planning and delivering training sessions on digital teaching and learning, organising staff meetings to support with technical issues and creating opportunities to share ideas and experiences. She closely worked with pupil and staff digital champions to raise the profile of the iPad project and to create promotional films that help educate staff and pupils about digital best practice.

Impact:
All staff have enjoyed a range of training sessions, which have increased their knowledge about the amazing potential of apps for teaching and learning and the one-to-one capabilities of digital assessment. The school reported great success with the trial Year 9 group where improved learning has been evidenced through positive testimonials.
