Sarah Green, aka The Literacy Coach, is a former EEF Literacy Content Specialist and Trust Director of Literacy for Prospere Learning Trust in Manchester. During her 20 years in education, she has held a range of middle and senior leadership positions, but, crucially, has expertise in the leadership of literacy, oracy, high quality teaching and curriculum.

 In this session, Sarah will explore how to be an effective leader of reading from vision and goal setting to implementation and impact. She will explore approaches that will enable and support teachers and leaders to:

• Lay the foundations for successful implementation;

• Build implementation teams with a shared responsibility for improving reading;

• Develop a culture of reading within subjects and across the school;

• Effectively manage budgets and limited resources; and

• Plan effective professional development to ensure all teachers are teachers of reading.
