Primary Panel Discussion: Leading a Primary School in Times of Scarcity (now taking place in Room 5)

Join primary leaders from the Whole Education network for a candid discussion on what it means to lead a primary school in times of scarcity.

With budgets tightening and needs increasing, how are school leaders making difficult decisions while staying focused on what matters most for children, staff, and communities? This session will explore the realities of leading through constraint and the creative strategies schools are using to continue delivering high-quality education.

Each panelist will share a brief insight from their own experience before opening up to a facilitated conversation. You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions, reflect with peers, and consider what resilient and values-driven leadership looks like today.

Panelists include:

  • Phil Herd

  • Lisa Sarikaya, St. Bart's Multi Academy Trust

  • Michael Thorp, Pennine Academies Yorkshire
