Sarah Quinn: Practical strategies for executive function and reducing dysregulation
Executive functions are the essential skills every human needs to function in life. For example, emotion and impulse control, organisation, memory and the ability to prioritise. Having published the 'Responsible Behaviour Curriculum', Sarah will be sharing the theory underpinning her work and top tips and activities to support children of all ages who continue to display challenge whilst also providing an opportunity to reflect on the key building blocks that may need revisting even for our oldest children.
About the speaker:
Sarah Quinn is the founder and director of Quinn Education Development and delivers training and support to schools across the UK and internationally as an Early Years and Primary Education Consultant. She works closely with leadership teams, practitioners and teachers to raise the quality of their practice and, therefore, outcomes for children, Sarah also sits on governing and trustee boards, is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and is currently working in a number of schools to improve children’s chances.
Sarah previously worked for Ofsted as a managing inspector and for CfBT Inspection Services as the Central Senior Managing Inspector delivering training to inspectors, quality assuring inspection work and performance managing a large team of inspectors. She has extensive experience in the inspection of full primary schools, children’s centres and early years provisions, maintained, independent and registered and also previously worked as a highly successful primary school teacher and leader.
