About the speaker:

Alex Quigley is a blogger and the author of several influential books, including Why Learning Fails (And What To Do About It), Closing the Reading Gap, Closing the Writing Gap, Closing the Vocabulary Gap, and The Confident Teacher.

With over fifteen years of classroom experience, Alex now champions the cause of education from beyond the school gates. He currently works for an educational charity, supporting teachers and school leaders to engage with research evidence and tackle the link between educational outcomes and parental income.
