About the speaker


Amy currently serves as Assistant Director for SEND at Meridian Trust. In this role, she has responsibility for the quality assurance of SEND provision across the Trust, leading school improvement at both school and trust levels, and delivering high-quality professional development. This includes leading the Trust’s SENDV Network.

She has over 20 years’ experience working within SEND education, with a background that spans special and mainstream school settings, as well as experience within a local authority as an Autism Advisory Teacher. Amy is a qualified teacher and SENDCo and holds a Master of Education (MEd) in Special Education: Autism (Children) from the University of Birmingham.

In addition, Amy lectures on the NPQ SENCO programme, is a licensed trainer of the National Autistic Society’s Teen Life programme, and is an approved trainer for the Neuroinclusive Education Network across the six local authority areas served by Meridian Trust.
