Beth Devereux: Working together across localities to improve children/young people’s speech, language and communication skills  

Beth, is a specialist advisor with Elklan and has a wide range of experience working in partnership across all sectors, in particular LAs, to address the increasing concerns over children/young people’s speech, language and communication skills, impacting on educational outcomes as well as social, emotional and behavioural development. Beth will share effective practices and lead discussions on how localities can develop a model to ensure a consistent and coordinated approach in upskilling all sectors and families, raising knowledge of speech, language and communication which will lead to improved experiences for children/young people, helping them to gain the best possible start in life and laying a strong foundation for their educational journey.
