Clio Brown: Supporting pupils as they transition in and out of early years

Transitions can be pivotal moments in a child’s early education journey—so how can we ensure they are supported with care, continuity, and confidence? In this session, Clío Brown explores practical strategies for managing transitions both into and out of the Early Years, with a particular focus on inclusion and early identification of need.

Clío is the National Early Years and Early Reading Advisor for E-ACT, bringing 13 years of experience across teaching, leadership, safeguarding, and practice development in large MATs. A regular contributor to Tes and a respected voice on Early Years and SEND, she is passionate about championing the unique value of Early Years education in shaping a child’s long-term success.
