Professor Toby Greany: How can we make school leadership more sustainable?
Toby will share and discuss emerging findings from a three-year study of Sustainable School Leadership, funded by the Economic and Social Research Council. The research is exploring approaches to the recruitment, development and support of senior school leaders – particularly headteachers – in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Toby will explore the factors that drain and sustain leaders in role and will explore implications for trusts and Local Authorities as well as leaders themselves. Attendees will be invited to help identify implications and recommendations for how school leadership can be made more sustainable.
