Literacy Leaders Network Meeting: We are all teachers of literacy

Whether you're leading phonics in EYFS, selecting books for your school's book spine or guiding analytical writing in Year 10, literacy is at the heart of every subject, every phase, and every classroom. But how do we truly embrace this shared responsibility-and what does it look like in practice?

This session invites literacy leaders to explore:

  • What every teacher needs to know and do to support literacy effectively (through the understanding and use of assessment-generated data).

  • When and how to use interventions that make a real difference.

After a short introduction, you'll join phase-specific breakout rooms to share your experiences, celebrate what’s working well, and learn from others who’ve tackled similar challenges. This is a chance to connect, reflect, and grow together as a community of literacy leaders.

Come ready to contribute, collaborate, and leave with practical ideas to empower your team.
