Leadership Community: Skills for Life — The voice of a trainee teacher, advocating for holistic education.

This session brings the energy and insight of emerging voices in education to the forefront. Through the perspective of a trainee teacher, we will explore how advocacy and practice intersect in the classroom, revealing how small, everyday actions can ripple out to influence whole communities. Participants will hear first-hand the experiences, hopes, and challenges of those at the start of their teaching journey and reflect on how leaders can nurture and amplify these voices.

We will consider what it means to champion holistic education with courage, compassion, and rigour. Together, we will explore strategies to build trust, create space for dialogue, and inspire change across different levels of a school. This session will highlight the skills leaders need to empower others to act, demonstrating that leadership is not just about authority, but about listening, connecting, and advocating for what is right for every learner.

By the end of the session, you will leave with a renewed sense of purpose, a deeper understanding of how holistic education can be embedded in practice, and a clear vision of how your leadership can create opportunities for voices to be heard, valued, and acted upon. You will be ready to champion change that ensures every learner thrives, both now and in the future.
