Summer Conference 2025: Better for Everyone
University of Warwick | 30th June and 1st July

A vibrant conference networking area filled with attendees conversing, holding drinks, and exploring materials, with banners for Whole Education and its Summer Conference 2024 visible in the background.

The Whole Education Summer Conference will take place on 30 June to 1 July 2025 at The Oculus, University of Warwick. This two-day event offers an opportunity for school leaders, system leaders, and education practitioners to come together and explore how we can ensure everyone thrives in a transforming world.

Across the two days, we will explore how to create an education system that is truly Better for Everyone. How do we ensure every young person, regardless of their background, needs or aspirations, has access to a whole education? How can we build schools and systems that support all members of a learning community in developing the knowledge, skills and dispositions needed to thrive throughout life, learning and work?

Day 1 will explore how delivering a whole education can be better for everyone. Sessions will cover critical areas including curriculum and assessment, teaching and learning, literacy, relationships and behaviour, attendance, early years, technology and AI, leadership, workforce development, and community engagement. This day is designed for leaders across schools and trusts, including headteachers, senior leaders, MAT CEOs and deputies, directors of education, and those focused on early years curriculum and teaching.

Day 2 will turn our attention to building an education system that works for all. In-depth discussions will focus on SEND, inclusion and addressing disadvantages. This day is specifically tailored for those working directly with vulnerable learners, including SENCOs, attendance leads, pupil premium leads, and local authority and MAT leaders committed to creating an inclusive and equitable education system.

Whether you are already part of the Whole Education network or looking to connect with like-minded leaders, this conference is designed to help you find your community. It is an opportunity to build relationships, share challenges, and explore solutions with peers from across the sector.

At Whole Education, we believe in the power of connection and collective action. The conference will not only deepen professional networks but also serve as a tribute to David Price, whose work continues to challenge the boundaries of traditional education. His dedication to fostering inclusive, relevant, and engaging learning has had a lasting impact on our vision. Together, we will celebrate his legacy and draw on his insights to shape the future of education.

With speakers including Gert Biesta, Ron Berger, Mary Myatt and Alex Quigley, the conference promises to inspire and challenge participants. You will leave with ideas you can act on immediately and pathways to continue the conversation and build momentum beyond the event.

Join us for two days of collaboration, inspiration, and action as we strive to create an education system where everyone thrives. Tickets are available for one day at £300 plus VAT or both days at £400 plus VAT, with the option to share two-day tickets between colleagues (one person attending per day).

FEEDBACK FROM PREVIOUS CONFERENCES:

"I found the inspirational ideas from the keynotes and the opportunity to network really useful."

"The conference reached a level of nuance and granularity that I have not experienced in other conferences. The keynote speakers were masters in their field and left us with more than food for thought. They gave us actual processes and practice that we can implement, not just hyperbole."

"I absolutely loved the blend of 'big picture' ideas and 'nuts and bolts' practice"

"If you want to walk away with a brain full of ideas and a burning desire to bring about change for the good for your organisation, this is the conference for you!"

"Today has been the best CPD event I have ever attended with the perfect balance of challenge and reflection. I have left feeling energised and equipped to make change happen."
