The inclusive pic ‘n’ mix. How technology can help you build a personalised, inclusive culture — Paddy McGrath and Ben Whitaker

Paddy McGrath is Everway’s Head of Education Strategy for International markets. He works closely with education leaders, ministries, and schools to help embed inclusive teaching and learning at scale. Paddy is a passionate advocate for inclusion, accessibility and universal design, shaping policy, culture and practice across EMEA. Guided by the belief in “Education for Everyone”, Paddy has delivered keynotes, workshops and policy guidance in over 31 countries, while leading strategy grounded in pedagogy - powered by technology and AI to drive meaningful, sustainable change in teaching, learning and lives. Paddy champions technology that improves access to learning while strengthening outcomes. For him, inclusion is not an add-on. It is the foundation of effective teaching. His work reflects Everway’s belief that technology should adapt to people, not the other way around. By focusing on accessibility, inclusion, and UDL, he helps schools and systems build long-term capability, not short-term fixes.

Ben is a freelance consultant working with a number of clients on both digital and cultural transformation. Prior to this, Ben worked for 15 years in education as an Assistant Principal and Curriculum Manager, focusing on Apprenticeships, Digital Transformation and formerly in his subject specialisms of Religious Studies & Sociology. He is co-host of the popular Edufuturists podcast where he explores the future of education by interviewing thinkers from around the world, most notably around the implications of A.I. in Education. Ben has travelled around the world talking about effective tech integration that has an impact on learning and culture and is the author of the upcoming book The Ideas Guy, set to be released in early 2025. He is dad to Martha (10) and Niamh (14), husband to Amanda (don’t ask a lady her age!) and blogs at theideasguy.io.
